Hussain Alismail, a visual artist and designer, recently relocated to Melbourne to pursue his Master of Design Innovation & Technology at RMIT. He possesses a BFA in Drawing and Painting from OCAD University in Toronto, Canada, and a BCA in Visual Effects & Entertainment Design from Flinders University in Adelaide, Australia, bringing a wealth of creative experience to his practice. Primarily a painter, his work delves into the complexities of Saudi social dynamics, utilizing both digital and physical platforms to give voice to everyday conversations. His art offers a unique perspective that challenges viewers to reconsider the nuances of human relationships and forms of expression. Beyond drawing and painting, he also explores other media such as photography, filming, and digital graphics. This versatility allows him to experiment with different approaches and find the most effective ways to convey his ideas. Inspired by journey culture, he skillfully narrates individual and community stories, amplifying the diverse narratives he portrays.
