Anti Imperialism x Sanction Israel Upacara

The UPACARA (Read-ritual) ANTI-IMPERIALISM X SANCTION ISRAEL is not intended to celebrate the genocide that occurred in Gaza or on this land.

Upacara is a word in the Bahasa taken from Sanskrit which means the presence of a community in one place or space. It is intended as a collective memory to remember something important in the community. It can be something that has already happened, currently happening or what will happen from now.

We believe this reflects a form of mutual aid once practiced by our ancestors in the Malay Archipelago, a way of bringing diverse communities together through solidarity, whether by sharing materials, food, finance & moral support.

This support would come during any kind of ritual and gathering, whether it was a time of grief, anger, joy, birth, or death.

This fundraising effort is entirely community driven, with no external funding. It moves from one community to another, rooted in mutual support.
