Naarm/Melbourne artist Drey Willows confronts the global epidemic of male violence against women through a deeply personal, politically charged lens. Drawing on her work as a trauma-informed social worker, she exposes how media sensationalism and institutional failures sustain victim-blaming attitudes and rape culture.
Developed during a residency at AGA LAB (Amsterdam), the works trace the legacy of witch-hunts and the ongoing demonisation of women who resist or defy societal expectations. She, the Hunted is both a reckoning and a reclamation: a fierce celebration of female power and resilience that refuses to be silenced.
