Collaborative Weaving Workshop with Georgia Boseley

Join Central/Eastern Arrernte artist Georgia Boseley for a collaborative weaving workshop to conclude her three-month residency at Schoolhouse Studios.

Using locally-harvested natural materials from along the Merri Creek, participants will learn traditional Aboriginal basket-weaving stitches while contributing to a large-scale woven artwork to be exhibited as part of a show at the Koorie Heritage Trust in September.

Open to all skill levels, this workshop offers an opportunity to connect through making, yarning, and a shared creative practice. The workshop is open for three hours and participants can drop in and out.

Please note that this isn't a classic basket-weaving workshop. While you will be taught the basic stitch for basket-weaving, the workshop will be more hands-off and collaborative, and you won't leave with a basket of your own.

For enquiries about more intensive basket-weaving workshops with the artist, please email info@georgiaboseley.com.au.
