Studio Osk will be exhibiting a series of photographic prints of the Monolith Studies series and constructing an immersive installation in its first solo show at Dear Patti Smith Gallery in Fitzroy, July 2012.

These works are an examination of the combination of pure geometric space and organic surrounds and vice versa. They are an examination of the revelations that occur to the viewer who is engaging with and interacting with this contrast.
Is pure geometry a thing of beauty or a cold, hard-edged human construct, robbing us of our ties to the natural world? Is our tendency toward a romantic view of the natural environment some kind of nostalgic hang up, irrelevant in today’s mechanized world?
